In revival, God moves in the district. The whole community becomes God conscious. The Spirit of God grips men and women in such a way that even work is given up as people give themselves to waiting upon God.
This presence of God is the supreme characteristic of a God-sent revival. The power of God, the Spirit of God, was moving in operation, and the fear of God gripped the souls of men - this is the depth of revival.

The depth of Revival will be determined exactly by the depth of the spirit of repentance". And this will obtain for all people, at all times.
So we must certainly remember that deep repentance lies at the heart of true Revival. It can be said that above all else, it is the key elements of repentance and also heart-rending, Spirit-fired prayer that first lead to Revival, and then keep the flame burning on. Truly, if we could get God's people to agonize in prayer for Revival, as did believers of ages past, then the glory of God would surely come down. But there are all too few 'agonizers' today. The God intends the church to live continually in a Revival state - that this is the "normal" state of the church. And it is also convinced that if the church would just meet the basic conditions for Revival - deep repentance and heartfelt, burning prayer for the outpouring of God's Spirit, then Revival would always result. This revival would lead to make something a 'spiritual repentance' is that it takes a specific part of your way of life and turns it toward God. A spiritual repentance is, when practiced faithfully and regularly, a habit or regular pattern in your life that repeatedly brings you back to God and opens you up to what God is saying to you. |
